The Secretariat of Urban Development and Housing is the agency responsible for designing, coordinating and implementing urban policy in Mexico City.

The urban planning of the City includes orientation of its growth, recovery of public spaces, reactivation of zones in disuse, protection and conservation of the urban landscape and promotion of the construction of self-sustainable social housing.
